From 5th-12th April, 1915, the 2nd Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, then of 5 Brigade, 2nd Division, were in billets at Essars, near Bethune before moving into trenches at Festubert on 13th April. The battalion diary provides little information about this period so the circumstances behind the death of Arthur Ramsey who was killed on 13th April, are not known. |
